What a great day! So many of you came along to meet us and to find out how our fundraising is progressing.  The weather was perfect for a summer fete and sales of champagne did very well; we welcomed new members (who were given a complimentary glass); and the children’s ‘Find the Bed Bug’ game was a big hit.

We were delighted to welcome special visitors to the stall, in particular, the Mayor of Basingstoke & Deane Cllr Colin Phillimore, who was escorted by Cllr David Conquest the Vice Chair of Kingsclere Parish Council.

The fete was opened by Michael David Edwards, better known as Eddie the Eagle, who later came along to meet a few of the FOSM team.  Eddie is an English ski jumper and Olympian who, in 1988, became the first competitor to represent great Britain in Olympic ski jumping.
